About Our Mission to
Mexico - Cozumel
On September 26, 2020, Sister Dee Walter left for a missions trip to Cozumel, Mexico. She was accompanied by a missions team from her ministry: CREW, which stands for Christ Reaching Every Woman. Her trip was partially supported by Gideon House of God and when she returned after more than a month in Mexico, she blessed us with a Wednesday night presentation of her time there. Cozumel is an island off the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and is almost totally dependent on cruise ships for its economy. Because of the worldwide pandemic and the ban on cruises, the economy of the island is in a deep depression, poverty is rampant, and many are starving. Sister Dee and her team used the money provided by Gideon House and others to purchase food and other living supplies for those in need on the island. Hundreds were blessed in the feeding ministry and many came to Christ in miraculous ways during the trip. Below are some pictures she shared during the presentation.

Pictured at right, the team is stocking up with food and supplies for the ministry.
The buying power of American dollars is very high in Mexico. Even small amounts given lead to great blessings in the field! At left: a basket full of food and supplies. At right: the team delivering food to a family. Below: a grateful local girl receives a box full of supplies.
The CREW team provided food for both the body (left) AND the spirit! (right). Many people came to ministry meetings because they heard that food would be there. Once there, they were also given the Bread of Life!
Below are two pictures taken with local ministries that partnered with the CREW team during the trip. These ministries are far from the "glitz and glamor" of the cruise ships and have to do "much with little". God continues to show Himself faithful, however, both in providing for these ministries and for the CREW Team.
